(Lower) Secondary Programme

At Philippine Cambridge International School, our Secondary School encompasses the Cambridge Lower Secondary program followed by Senior High School, designed for students aged 12 to 17. This stage of education is characterized by a comprehensive curriculum and a nurturing environment that together aim to refine the knowledge and skills essential for our students' futures.

Cambridge Lower Secondary: Students between the ages of 12 and 14 are introduced to a broad range of subjects following the Cambridge Curriculum, ensuring a seamless transition from the primary years. English, Mathematics, and Sciences are at the core, complemented by a selection of humanities, languages, and creative arts that cater to a diverse range of interests and aptitudes. This breadth of study encourages students to become well-rounded individuals, primed for the more specialized choices they will make in Senior High School.

Year 10: In Year 10 at Philippine Cambridge International School, students, typically aged 14 to 15, find themselves at a pivotal stage of their educational journey. As part of our commitment to offering a curriculum that bridges local excellence and global standards, Year 10 serves as a preparatory year that lays the groundwork for both the Cambridge IGCSE examinations and the DepEd-mandated curriculum requirements. During this year, students deepen their engagement with core subjects such as English, Mathematics, and Sciences, while also exploring a broad range of electives that cater to their burgeoning interests and career aspirations.

As PCIS strides towards full Cambridge accreditation, our Year 10 students benefit from an enriched learning environment that mirrors the rigor and breadth of the Cambridge Lower Secondary program. Senior High School: As we pave the way toward becoming a recognized Cambridge School, our Senior High School program for students aged 15 to 17 is tailored to balance the robust local education framework with international standards. While PCIS is in its inaugural phase, we are committed to partnering with established Cambridge testing centres to provide our students the opportunity to earn widely-respected Cambridge certifications. In tandem, we offer the comprehensive strands of STEM, ABM, and HUMSS as outlined by the Department of Education (DepEd), ensuring that our curriculum is rigorous, challenging, and holistic. This dual approach prepares our learners not only for national recognition but also positions them competitively on the global academic stage.
